The toddler bench with adjustable height from the Nienhuis Montessori baby & toddler furniture range is entirely made by hand from birch wood. It has the perfect size for toddlers and enhances any Montessori kindergarten, Nido, prepared environment or playroom at home. The seat of the bench is formed in a way that the child is `pushed` to sit in the right position, instead of sitting on the edge of the bench.

Although many of the same concepts used in designing furniture for the older child’s environment apply in an infant / toddler environment, however due to the size and developmental age of young children there are a number of important factors that must be considered. One of the key concepts in this environment is learning to be independent.

Rather than using the traditional ‘high’ furniture, which rely on adult intervention, Montessori furniture for babies and small children is lower in height and smaller in size. This allows both the infant and the teacher or parent to see through the shelves while maintaining a safe barrier.

The toddler bench is shipped unmounted and flat-packed and measures: 95 x 22.25 x 13 to 16cm.

This toddler bench with adjustable height is suitable for the Montessori prepared environment for children aged 1 years and up. It is made by GAM (Gonzagarredi Montessori) for Nienhuis in Italy.
