The toddler bench with adjustable height from the Nienhuis Montessori baby & toddler furniture range is entirely made by hand from birch wood. It has the perfect size for toddlers and enhances any Montessori<\/a> kindergarten, Nido, prepared environment or playroom at home.\u00a0The seat of the bench is formed in a way that the child is `pushed` to sit in the right position, instead of sitting on the edge of the bench.<\/p>\n

Although many of the same concepts used in designing furniture for the older child\u2019s environment apply in an infant \/ toddler<\/a> environment, however due to the size and developmental age of young children there are a number of important factors that must be considered. One of the key concepts in this environment<\/a> is learning to be independent.<\/p>\n

Rather than using the traditional \u2018high\u2019 furniture, which rely on adult intervention, Montessori furniture for babies and small children is lower in height and smaller in size. This allows both the infant and the teacher or parent to see through the shelves while maintaining a safe barrier.<\/p>\n

The toddler bench is shipped unmounted and flat-packed and measures: 95 x 22.25 x 13 to 16cm.<\/p>\n
