The book Maria Montessori through the seasons of the method by renowned Italian scholar\u00a0Paola Trabalzini\u00a0analyses Maria Montessori’s body of work. Published by the North American organisation of Montessori teachers (NAMTA), the book takes the reader through\u00a0the development of Trabalzini’s research from the first appearance of her monograph on the genesis of what could be defined as Maria Montessori’s “canonical” book, the discovery of the child, to the complex and dense panorama of the evolution of Maria Montessori’s beliefs in the course of her existence.<\/p>\n

Research for the book<\/a> was characterised by a careful selection of moments and images that allow the reader to grasp the essence of the Montessori world<\/a>. By precisely applying the tools of historiographical contextualisation to the events and phases of Montessori’s life, Paola Trabalzini succeeds in making explicit what is the Montessori message in its essence.<\/p>\n

The developments of Maria Montessori’s method of education are followed for over forty years in this book up to her death. It is a meticulous work of analysis of the entire life of the great pedagogue Maria Montessori, highlighting the genesis and the essence of her thoughts.<\/p>\n
