Dream Door: turquoise – Droomdeurtjes

Inspired by the Waldorf pedagogy, the dream door in turquoise by Dutch brand Droomdeurtjes encourages open-ended play and is bound to bring magic into a child’s world, bring fantasy to life and is a perfect gift for any occasion! The Dream Door starter kit consists of a handmade, sturdy wooden dream door measuring 15 x 12.5 x 2.5 centimetres, a magical key and a matching mailbox to send and receive dream mail.

Not only is the dream door a beautiful addition to a nursery, child’s room or play space, its concept is based on helping children process their everyday experiences. The dream door invites children to create their own safe place and let their imagination run free. An elf, dragon or any mythical creature, is invited to fly through the dream door and to become a companion.

Besides promoting empathy and imagination the dream doors also stimulate creativity in children from a very young age by decorating the surroundings of the door. A collection of accessories and stickers are also available in our web shop, though decoration of the dream door and its surroundings can be anything up to the creativity of the child.

The dream door is also regularly used by teachers as a pedagogical support, and by child coaches and psychologists to help the child to feel more comfortable to express emotions.

Dream Doors are CE certified, made by hand from sustainably sourced wood and finished with non-toxic water-based paint in The Netherlands. The dream doors come in a sturdy gift packaging made of recycled cardboard.
