Grimm’s fairy tale village is a Waldorf inspired play set of three wooden houses for children to re-enact their favourite fairy tales and stories!
Each of the three houses are made up of a set of wooden building blocks in whimsical shapes. They open new possibilities in building and creating. In combination with traditional elements, they offer exciting worlds of experience – and encourage children to using a completely new design language.
The houses can also be used as dollhouse rooms and the wooden elements work wonderfully with all of the Grimm’s building blocks, dolls and furniture.
They are ideal for toddlers as building blocks, a creative puzzle, on a nature table as decoration or for creating a scene in imaginative and small world play.
The fairy tale village houses are made from certified lime wood from trees indigenous to central Europe. They are hand-painted with non-toxic water based colour stain and finished with non-toxic plant based oil finish. The blue house measures 16cm in height, the rose tower 29cm and forest house 18cm. The wooden blocks are approximately 6cm thick.
The Grimm’s fairy tale village play set is suitable for children aged 1 years and up.

About Grimm’s
Ideal for playing with at home, nursery, Waldorf or Steiner school, the beautiful natural wooden Grimm’s toys are crafted according to the Waldorf philosophy which is well-known to encourage children to discover creative play independently, without limitations at an unhurried pace. The wooden Grimm’s toys are coloured by hand with non-toxic water-based paints and are not finished with lacquer to ensure the original characteristics of the wood and the grain shows through. The surface of the FSC certified European wood pieces are left slightly rough making them fully stackable and less slippery.
Grimm’s handmade wooden toys are produced at the Grimm’s facilities in Germany as well as at several workshops across Europe from various types of wood such as alder, lime, beech and maple. All wood used to craft the Grimm’s toys are sourced from sustainably managed European forests.
Please note Grimm’s toys are always one of a kind, carrying unique marks made by nature. Wood grain has changing structures and colours which serve as proof of its natural origins. The unique variations, markings, knots, patterns, black stripes or dark spots that may be visible in the wood of a Grimm’s toy are proof of quality, not defects.
