A beautiful educational maxi puzzle in German from the Norwegian brand Larsen illustrating our climate and the greenhouse effect. With this puzzle, children can learn all about the atmosphere, carbon dioxide from cars and other forms of transport, and the needs of plants in our environment.
Over the years and throughout history, our climate has changed. The greenhouse effect is a natural process that warms the Earth’s surface. When the Sun’s energy reaches the Earth’s atmosphere, some of it is reflected back to space and the rest is absorbed and re-radiated by greenhouse gases. This is demonstrated within this puzzle.
The puzzle displays how solar heat is being trapped and returned to the earth by the greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere. It shows how humans and animals need plants to eat and breathe. Without sunlight, the plants will not grow and therefore will result in no reproduction of humans or animals, as the plants release oxygen for us all to breathe.
Children will love expanding their scientific knowledge while also improving their problem solving, concentration and fine motor skills.
This sturdy tray style jigsaw puzzle is made from recycled cardboard with 69 interlocking style pieces. It is suited for slightly older children from around age 6, especially those interested in learning about our climate.
The Larsen our climate and the greenhouse effect maxi puzzle measures 36.5 x 28.5cm and is also available in French and English.
Since 1953 Norwegian brand Larsen has been producing high-quality tray style jigsaw puzzles made from recycled cardboard. The puzzles have extra thick pieces that do not easily break and are still produced in the Larsen family-owned factory in Flekkefjord, an idyllic town in southern Norway.
