Fraction set linear – Jegro
The Jegro fraction set linear comprises of ten colourful unbreakable strips with one strip representing a whole number and nine other strips which are flexible and partitioned into fractions so they can be folded into half up to a tenth part. The length of each of the parts of the strips help to give a clear picture of the part-whole relationship and the nuances of a colour indicate which fractions are related to each other.
The flexible and unbreakable fraction strips are made of thick plastic and are about twenty five centimetres long. Working with this material helps pupils to discover fractions and to understand the part-whole relationship. Extend the fractions exercise by adding the Jegro fraction dice.
This material is suitable for primary school children aged 8 years and up.
