Water colour opaque paint set 12 colours – Stockmar

A beautiful and practical paint set (German version) of non-toxic high-quality Stockmar water colour paints including 12 opaque water colour tabs, a mixing palette, one tube of opaque white paint, a mixing palette and a 5mm cat’s tongue brush. The set also includes a high quality painting brush made by the tradition-conscious German brush manufacturer Zahn.

Contained in a classic metal case for easy storage and transportation, the individual tabs can easily be taken out for quick replacements. The Stockmar mixing palette is not attached to the box, so you can put it down wherever is most convenient for your work – and of course it will be easier to clean than a painting box lid that is being used as a palette.

As the Stockmar water colour paints in soluble powder form, these opaque water colour tabs are very concentrated and long-lasting. They have a unique luminosity due to a very high concentration of colour pigments which are particularly intense. The opaque colours are very rich and remain bright and powerful even when heavily diluted. Stockmar opaque colours are suitable for various different painting techniques, including classic opaque painting (over painting), classic water colour painting, lazure painting or techniques based on a mixture of approaches.

The colour range of the paint colours follows the extended version of Goethe’s “Theory of Colours”: each tone included in the assortment has been adjusted so that it can be mixed well with any of the other colours. Harmonious intermediate gradations and boundary-less colour blending are also possible when using the wet-on-wet technique.
