Numbered sorting and counting trays – Threewood

Threewood’s numbered sorting and counting trays are a wonderful handmade Montessori inspired sensorial mathematics and numeracy learning toy for young children!

Children will have so much fun counting and sorting with the trays. They can also trace the numbers with their index finger or the included wooden pens, whilst refining their fine motor skills and strengthening their hands in preparation for writing! Learning to count becomes a fun and hands-on game with this thoughtfully designed and lovingly made educational toy, perfect for Montessori home learning and play.

The trays are made by hand from natural solid oak wood and come in 10 different sizes, with the numbers 1 (starting with the small tray) to 10 (the largest tray) carved in the center, which provides a framework for sorting and counting activities. The entire set of trays can be stacked inside each other.

This beautifully natural and super high quality tactile learning toy pairs perfectly with the Threewood wool felt balls, but can also be used with any small objects such as beads, stones, marbles or items found in nature.

The solid oak trays are finished in natural oil and measure from 5.5 to 20cm in diameter. The pens are made from plywood. This entire wooden counting and sorting set is made by hand in Ukraine and suited for children aged 3 years and up.
