Colour hunt sorting game – Rolf

Rolf’s colour hunt is a delightful colour sorting game carefully designed to meet the development and learning needs of children in a fun way.

This fun colour sorting game can be played by up to 6 children at once. Each child gets a grey frame, chooses a colour card and places it in the middle or top left of the grey frame. Then the picture cards are turned over and placed in the centre of the table. On each turn, a child may take one of the cards and see if this card matches the colour in the frame. If it is the same colour, the child finds and names the object and places the card in the grey frame. Who will be the first to collect all 8 cards of the same colour and fill the frame?

There are other game variation options, including playing who will be the first to collect 6 different colours and naming the objects and colours correctly.

Children will enhance their colour discrimination skills by playing this game. They will also be developing their vocabulary, concentration and cognitive, critical thinking and problem solving skills as they play!
