The Stockmar drawing pad (120 gsm – 50 sheets), measuring 18.7 x 25.3cm, provides the ideal surface for drawing with coloured pencils, painting with the opaque colours or applying blending techniques. Contained in a classic metal case for easy storage and transportation, the colour giant pencils are made from FSC-certified linden wood and blend and glide onto the page beautifully with an almost creamy consistency. The individual water colour tabs have a unique luminosity due to a very high concentration of colour pigments which are particularly intense.

Stockmar opaque colours are suitable for various different painting techniques, including classic opaque painting (over painting), classic water colour painting, lazure painting or techniques based on a mixture of approaches. They can easily be taken out for quick replacements and the iconic Stockmar mixing palette is not attached to the box, so you can put it down wherever is most convenient for your work – and of course it will be easier to clean than a painting box lid that is being used as a palette.

The colour range of the pencils and paint colours follows the extended version of Goethe’s “Theory of Colours”: each tone included in the assortment has been adjusted so that it can be mixed well with any of the other colours. Harmonious intermediate gradations and boundary-less colour blending are also possible when using the wet-on-wet technique.
