Welcome to the Teia Education website terms and conditions for use. Our terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and by accessing this website and/or placing an order you agree to the terms and conditions as stipulated below.

Before you place an order, or if you have any questions relating to our terms and conditions please contact us per e-mail on info@teiaeducation.ch or by filling out the contact form on our contact us page.

Our rights

We reserve the right to modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this website (or any part thereof) with or without notice to you and you confirm that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the website.

All written content of this website is subject to copyright. It is forbidden to duplicate or use any of this content for commercial purposes.

We may change and/or update our terms and conditions from time to time, and your continued use of this website (or any part thereof) following such change shall be deemed to be by your acceptance of such change. We ask you to check regularly whether our terms and conditions have been changed. Before completing an order from our web shop you are required, according to Article 184 CO, to tick the box “I have read and agree to the website terms and conditions“.

Complete an order

Making a purchase from our web shop is a very simple process:

Browse our web shop, and add any items that you wish to buy to your shopping cart. Once you finished shopping, place your cursor on the cart icon located at the top right of your screen.

From here you have two options: click either on the button “view cart” or “checkout”.

1. When clicking on the button “view cart” the page “cart” will open on which you will see the items added to your cart to the left and a cart total overview to the right. This overview shows the total price of your items as well as the calculated shipping price; here you may choose from the types of shipping options eligible for your order. If all details all correct, click on “proceed to checkout”.

2. When clicking on the button “checkout” the page “checkout details” will open.
On this page you will be asked to fill out all required information in order for us to complete your order. Please check all details entered as well as the items in your cart, quantity of each and prices in this stage of your order. Please read our terms & conditions carefully before ticking the box “I have read and agree to the website terms and conditions“.

You have two payment options: direct bank transfer or paying online with your credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Select the payment option of your preference and then click on the “place order” button.

By clicking on the “place order” button in this stage of your order, you conclude a sales contract in accordance with Article 197 and our terms and conditions.

Upon clicking on the “place order” button you will be redirected to the “order complete” page on which all details of your order are shown. (In the case you pay online with your credit card you will be redirected to a 3D secure screen for payment. Once your payment has been accepted you will be redirected to the “order complete” page).

We will send out a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address provided to us once your order is received.

Each product purchased is sold subject to its product description which details additional conditions related to that product. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing in our web shop are correct and we aim to keep this website as up to date as possible.

Product availability

We aim to have as many products as possible in stock at any given time, however we cannot have all products in stock or some items are subject to availability at our supplier. If an item is not in stock (indicated as “available on backorder” on the product page) we will offer you the option to back order it, and we will order the product from our supplier.

An estimated delay of delivery is mentioned on the page of each product that can be back ordered. In the case an item has gone out of stock with our supplier or their delivery date will incur an unexpected delay we will immediately notify you of this. If you wish to cancel your order due to this we will comply and refund your payment in full.

Prices

All of our prices mentioned in our web shop are in Swiss Francs and include 7.7% TVA. Shipping charges are not included in this mentioned price and will be calculated during checkout.

As we import our products from the European Union (the Netherlands and Spain), we reserve the right to amend our prices subject to a steep increase of the euro value and/or increase of importation cost to Switzerland. Any price changes will not be applied to products already ordered and paid for.

Payment methods

We accept credit card payments online from Visa and MasterCard. All transactions are subject to maximum security through 3D Secure and system monitoring around the clock by our payment service provider.

We also accept Bank Transfers. Please ensure payment reaches us within 5 days of completing your order and receiving the order confirmation sent to you by us by e-mail. If your payment does not clear within this period, your order will be automatically cancelled. Your bank transfer must include your order identification details, which are the date of your order and your order number as provided to you in our order confirmation.

We do not accept payments made by American Express, PayPal and TWINT.

Your order will be shipped within 1-2 business days once your payment has cleared.

We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure. We do not allow saving of payment methods in your account. This ensures that your credit card details are not accessible via our system.

Changes in order

Once your order has been completed and your payment has cleared you may not be able to change your order. There may be a repacking fee and/or an additional postage and handling charge if your order is changed prior to shipping.

In the case of any changes or issues with your order, we will contact you first to ensure that the changes are acceptable or we will give you the option to cancel your order.

Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:
– The product you ordered being unavailable from stock at our supplier
– Our inability to clear your payment

Shipping

We ship all orders made from our web shop with Swiss Post. For more information please refer to our delivery information page.

If you find a damaged item please inspect the packaging to determine whether it was damaged in transit. If this is the case please e-mail us within 48 hours upon receiving your order and include a photograph of the damage to the item and the packaging. It is important that you keep the items in the packaging in which we sent it to you.

If items are missing or a product is incomplete please contact us within 48 hours of receipt of your parcel.

Warranty

In accordance with Swiss legislation, the warranty period of products purchased from Teia Education is 24 months from the date of purchase. This warranty period only applies if the product you bought proves to be defective at the moment of delivery or differs from the product description on our website.

For any faults caused by an inappropriate manipulation or use of the product we cannot be held responsible.

The right on warranty does not apply if the product is not suitable for the intended use; therefore please verify intended usage of the product as described on the product page under the tab “description” before placing your order.

Returns and refunds

We hope you will be satisfied with your purchase. However, should you wish to return anything purchased from our web shop, we will refund you for a product provided the sealed box or packaging containing the product has not been opened, i.e. the product is unused and in fully resalable condition.

We do not require a reason for a return, but notice should be given in writing (by e-mail: customerservice@teiaeducation.ch) within 48 hours upon receiving your order. Items must be returned to us (at your own risk and cost) within 10 days of receiving your order.

Returns should be made in the original box we shipped your order in. Please pack all items (unopened and undamaged product boxes or packaging) carefully in this box. We can only accept returns shipped back to us with Swiss Post and require from you to provide us with the tracking number of your return shipment.

We reserve the right to deduct a percentage of the original selling price from the refund amount if a product box or packaging has not been returned to us sealed (unopened) and in perfect resalable condition. If we find that a product has not been returned to us in perfect resalable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item.

With the exception of furniture items, for which we will charge a 20% re-stock fee, we will refund 100% of the value of the goods purchased but not the postage charges, including those you might incur for returning your order to us.

Your payment will be refunded once we received the return in the condition as specified above.

Payments effected by bank transfer can only be refunded to the account number used for initial payment. We do not refund to account numbers not affiliated to your order.

Please include your order number and contact details with your return.

Returns of products notified to us after 10 days of delivery are not accepted.

Law

Our terms and conditions and contracts concluded by completing orders through our website are construed in accordance with the governing laws of Switzerland and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Switzerland. Place of jurisdiction is Geneva.

Privacy

Teia Education adheres to the provisions of the Swiss Data Protection Act and the relevant legal standards for collecting, processing and use of personal data.

Any customer data collected during the order process and from filled out contact forms on our website is for internal use only and this information is only disclosed to third parties if it is absolutely necessary for proper performance of our service. Any user of this website declares to agree on the above-mentioned use of his/her data and at any time he/she has the right to take vision of this saved data and can forbid its use for internal marketing purposes.
