The set includes two different thicknesses of needle: 5 coarse and 5 fine needles.
Wooden felting needle holders are also available separately in our shop.
Wet and dry felting and working with natural wool and plant dyed fibres are all important part of Waldorf Steiner Education. Needle felting is a highly tactile experience and a fun, creative Waldorf handwork activity. It is taught in Waldorf Schools worldwide beginning from the age of 7 or 10, and projects can range from beginner to advanced.
These specialist felting needles are designed to matt and lock fibres together. They are longer than sewing needles with a curved end instead of an eye and tiny notches or barbs along the shaft to catch and drag the fibres.
Please note children must be supervised by an adult until they have mastered the felting techniques and using the felting tools safely. Manufacturer recommended age: 14+.
Attention! Not suitable for children under 36 months due to the risk of impact in the throat area with sharp objects.
