Grimm’s houses playset is a beautiful collection of little handmade sustainable wooden toy houses to stack, build and create villages, towns and landscapes.
Each house is a different rainbow shade and hand painted with windows and doors. Their simple shape makes them perfect for stacking and building. Arrange them in their wooden base or line them up in a row for a lovely decorative addition to any nursery or playroom toy shelf.
The Grimm’s houses are handmade from lime wood. Each house is hand painted in lovely bright tones with non-toxic water based colour stain, making it safe for use by small children. This set offers endless possibilities for creative play, making sculptures and refining fine motor skills. The frame has a non-toxic plant based oil finish and measures 22cm in length. Each house block is around 8cm in height and 2-10cm in thickness.
The Grimm’s houses are recommended for children aged 2 years and up and is safe from 1 year.

Ideal for playing with at home, nursery, Waldorf or Steiner school, the beautiful natural wooden Grimm’s toys are crafted according to the Waldorf philosophy which is well-known to encourage children to discover creative play independently, without limitations at an unhurried pace. The wooden Grimm’s toys are coloured by hand with non-toxic water-based paints and are not finished with lacquer to ensure the original characteristics of the wood and the grain shows through. The surface of the FSC certified European wood pieces are left slightly rough making them fully stackable and less slippery.
Grimm’s handmade wooden toys are produced at the Grimm’s facilities in Germany as well as at several workshops across Europe from various types of wood such as alder, lime, beech and maple. All wood used to craft the Grimm’s toys are sourced from sustainably managed European forests.
Please note Grimm’s toys are always one of a kind, carrying unique marks made by nature. Wood grain has changing structures and colours which serve as proof of its natural origins. The unique variations, markings, knots, patterns, black stripes or dark spots that may be visible in the wood of a Grimm’s toy are proof of quality, not defects.
