River pebbles is a gorgeous set of Waldorf inspired sustainable handmade wooden pebble shaped blocks from Grimm’s. The 4 wooden pebbles in shades of blue and varying sizes measure approximatively 2.5 x 6-12 cm each.
The Grimm’s river pebbles set is made from lime wood and the blocks are beautifully rounded into organic stone shapes. They are painted in lovely bright colours with non-toxic water based colour stain making it safe for use by small children. Their calming blue tones represent the element of water.
This set is a wonderful natural stacking and balancing toy and also offers endless possibilities for creative, imaginative, open-ended and small world play, from making sculptures to building caves and stony landscapes. Great for refining fine motor skills and also a beautiful decorative addition to any playroom, classroom or child’s room.
The Grimm’s river pebbles set is suitable for children aged 1 year and up.

About Grimm’s
Ideal for playing with at home, nursery, Waldorf or Steiner school, the beautiful natural wooden Grimm’s toys are crafted according to the Waldorf philosophy which is well-known to encourage children to discover creative play independently, without limitations at an unhurried pace. The wooden Grimm’s toys are coloured by hand with non-toxic water-based paints and are not finished with lacquer to ensure the original characteristics of the wood and the grain shows through. The surface of the FSC certified European wood pieces are left slightly rough making them fully stackable and less slippery.
Grimm’s handmade wooden toys are produced at the Grimm’s facilities in Germany as well as at several workshops across Europe from various types of wood such as alder, lime, beech and maple. All wood used to craft the Grimm’s toys are sourced from sustainably managed European forests.
Please note Grimm’s toys are always one of a kind, carrying unique marks made by nature. Wood grain has changing structures and colours which serve as proof of its natural origins. The unique variations, markings, knots, patterns, black stripes or dark spots that may be visible in the wood of a Grimm’s toy are proof of quality, not defects.
