This lovely Waldorf-inspired handmade 5-piece natural wood house from German brand Grimm’s is a versatile stacking toy which progresses along with your child! Suited from the age of 1, the house invites toddlers to stack, sort and build and as the child gets older they will use it for small world play.
The softly rounded house is 13cm tall and offers an endless variety of open-ended play possibilities and a sensory rich experience for the child. The pieces can be stacked or nested on top of each other, the separate pieces can be used as tunnels for train sets or road parts, houses can be created for figures, little dolls, elves, fairies, dwarfs, pixies or other mythical creatures. The house shaped pieces can also serve as coops or pens for toy farm set ups and are suited for use on a Waldorf nature or seasons table or as an addition to nativity figures for a Christmas scene.
The Grimm’s natural wood stacking house is handmade from alder wood and finished by hand with non-toxic plant based oil.

About Grimm’s
Ideal for playing with at home, nursery, Waldorf or Steiner school, the beautiful natural wooden Grimm’s toys are crafted according to the Waldorf philosophy which is well-known to encourage children to discover creative play independently, without limitations at an unhurried pace. The wooden Grimm’s toys are coloured by hand with non-toxic water-based paints and are not finished with lacquer to ensure the original characteristics of the wood and the grain shows through. The surface of the FSC certified European wood pieces are left slightly rough making them fully stackable and less slippery.
Grimm’s handmade wooden toys are produced at the Grimm’s facilities in Germany as well as at several workshops across Europe from various types of wood such as alder, lime, beech and maple. All wood used to craft the Grimm’s toys are sourced from sustainably managed European forests.
Please note Grimm’s toys are always one of a kind, carrying unique marks made by nature. Wood grain has changing structures and colours which serve as proof of its natural origins. The unique variations, markings, knots, patterns, black stripes or dark spots that may be visible in the wood of a Grimm’s toy are proof of quality, not defects.
