The large Lara building set is a Waldorf inspired handmade wooden blocks creative play set and a new release from the Grimm’s 2023 collection! The set includes a round wooden tray and 73 wooden blocks in various bright colours and whimsical shapes.
These distinctive building shapes create two dimensional graphic patterns and mandalas, three dimensional towers, houses, fences, ships and so much more! Unlike traditional geometric blocks the Lara blocks are round and elegantly shaped. Due to the curved shape of the blocks, children are naturally challenged to experiment and discover how best to combine them for stability.
The Grimm’s Lara building set is made from certified wood from trees indigenous to central Europe. The blocks are hand-painted in beautiful bright tones with non-toxic water based colour stain making it safe for use by (small) children. The tray measures 40cm in diameter and the blocks are approximatively 4cm thick each.
This set offers endless possibilities for creative play, making sculptures and refining fine motor skills and is also a beautiful decorative addition to any playroom, classroom or child’s room.
The Grimm’s Lara building set is suitable for children aged 3 years and up.
Warning! CHOKING HAZARD – Small parts. Not for children under 3yrs.

About Grimm’s
Ideal for playing with at home, nursery, Waldorf or Steiner school, the beautiful natural wooden Grimm’s toys are crafted according to the Waldorf philosophy which is well-known to encourage children to discover creative play independently, without limitations at an unhurried pace. The wooden Grimm’s toys are coloured by hand with non-toxic water-based paints and are not finished with lacquer to ensure the original characteristics of the wood and the grain shows through. The surface of the FSC certified European wood pieces are left slightly rough making them fully stackable and less slippery.
Grimm’s handmade wooden toys are produced at the Grimm’s facilities in Germany as well as at several workshops across Europe from various types of wood such as alder, lime, beech and maple. All wood used to craft the Grimm’s toys are sourced from sustainably managed European forests.
Please note Grimm’s toys are always one of a kind, carrying unique marks made by nature. Wood grain has changing structures and colours which serve as proof of its natural origins. The unique variations, markings, knots, patterns, black stripes or dark spots that may be visible in the wood of a Grimm’s toy are proof of quality, not defects.
