This lovely Waldorf inspired wooden circular disc calendar by Grimm’s from our celebrations collection is the perfect way to mark the days of the month and the passing of time with children.
The beautiful large wooden disc has 31 carved spaces for the rainbow coloured wooden marbles to be placed on each day of the month. The marbles come in 7 different vibrant colours, one for each day of the week. At the end of the month you clear the ring and make space for the new month.
A lovely way to mark the passing of time in this daily ritual, note the changing seasons by displaying treasures from nature in the centre of the board, or count down to special events and celebrations.
The Grimm’s circular disc month calendar is handmade from lime wood with a natural non-toxic plant based oil finish. The wooden marbles are maple wood and painted with non-toxic water based colour stain. The disc calendar measures 50cm in diameter.
The circular disc month calendar can be combined with Grimm’s annual ring and decorative figures. It can also be combined with Grimm’s birthday rings as a great way for children to count down the days to their birthday.

About Grimm’s
Ideal for playing with at home, nursery, Waldorf or Steiner school, the beautiful natural wooden Grimm’s toys are crafted according to the Waldorf philosophy which is well-known to encourage children to discover creative play independently, without limitations at an unhurried pace. The wooden Grimm’s toys are coloured by hand with non-toxic water-based paints and are not finished with lacquer to ensure the original characteristics of the wood and the grain shows through. The surface of the FSC certified European wood pieces are left slightly rough making them fully stackable and less slippery.
Grimm’s handmade wooden toys are produced at the Grimm’s facilities in Germany as well as at several workshops across Europe from various types of wood such as alder, lime, beech and maple. All wood used to craft the Grimm’s toys are sourced from sustainably managed European forests.
Please note Grimm’s toys are always one of a kind, carrying unique marks made by nature. Wood grain has changing structures and colours which serve as proof of its natural origins. The unique variations, markings, knots, patterns, black stripes or dark spots that may be visible in the wood of a Grimm’s toy are proof of quality, not defects.
