The ingenious Grimm’s Leonardo wooden building sticks are handmade wooden sticks inspired by the constructions of Leonardo da Vinci! With these simple sticks, children are inspired to create challenging structures such as a dome and a bridge, which stand without glue or a cord and without a nail or a screw.
Developing fine motor skills and concentration, the Leonardo sticks are made from certified lime wood from trees indigenous to central Europe. They are hand-painted in beautiful bright tones with non-toxic water based colour stain making it safe for use by (small) children.
The set includes 100 sticks in various colours and 18cm in length and a wooden box. This play set offers endless possibilities for creative play and combines well with other toys and play sets from the Grimm’s range.
The Grimm’s Leonardo sticks are suitable for children aged 1 years and up.

About Grimm’s
Ideal for playing with at home, nursery, Waldorf or Steiner school, the beautiful natural wooden Grimm’s toys are crafted according to the Waldorf philosophy which is well-known to encourage children to discover creative play independently, without limitations at an unhurried pace. The wooden Grimm’s toys are coloured by hand with non-toxic water-based paints and are not finished with lacquer to ensure the original characteristics of the wood and the grain shows through. The surface of the FSC certified European wood pieces are left slightly rough making them fully stackable and less slippery.
Grimm’s handmade wooden toys are produced at the Grimm’s facilities in Germany as well as at several workshops across Europe from various types of wood such as alder, lime, beech and maple. All wood used to craft the Grimm’s toys are sourced from sustainably managed European forests.
Please note Grimm’s toys are always one of a kind, carrying unique marks made by nature. Wood grain has changing structures and colours which serve as proof of its natural origins. The unique variations, markings, knots, patterns, black stripes or dark spots that may be visible in the wood of a Grimm’s toy are proof of quality, not defects.
