Small movable alphabet: international print blue – Nienhuis Montessori

The Nienhuis Montessori small movable alphabet in international print from the language materials range comprises of thick plastic letters in blue. The child starts working with the small movable alphabet after mastering the letter sounds through working with the sandpaper letters. Even though the child may not be able to write yet, working with the small movable alphabet allows him to learn the letters of the alphabet, start spelling and to compose words and develop early-writing and reading skills. The small movable alphabet letters do not take up a lot of space and can easily be used on a small table.

Working with the small movable alphabet facilitates phonogram word building in two colours. The phonogram word building is presented with black letters (available separately), complemented by a second box of red or blue letters (available separately). The words are built with black letters and the phonogram is highlighted with either the red or blue letters.
