Abacus – SINA Spielzeug

The SINA Spielzeug abacus mathematics set contains a wooden play box, 4 supporting legs and 100 wooden balls in 10 bright colours of the rainbow. The play box is sealed on top with a sheet of acrylic glass so that the balls cannot be removed or get lost.

The wooden balls in the abacus are moved around from the bottom of the box with both hands, developing hand-eye coordination, concentration and activating both sides of the brain.

The abacus is suited for children who struggle with mathematics and can make a breakthrough through play, using the rows of coloured balls to count and do sums. The child learns to count from 1 to 100 and sets of numbers are understood and differentiated.

Also colours are named and learned as well as shades of colour such as light green, dark green.

Imaginative patters can also be designed and the game “Connect Four” can be played with the abacus. The balls can be ‘parked’ in the groove running around the edge, sorted and can be rolled around the edge of the box like a coloured snake.

When the abacus is placed on the legs supplied two or more children can play together.

SINA Spielzeug abacus is suitable for nursery and primary schools and lends itself for individual or group play.
