Simone Davies’ book the Montessori toddler – a comprehensive parent’s guide to raising a curious and responsible human being helps you bring the benefits of Montessori education into your home and raising toddlers in a Montessori way.
Author Simone Davies is an AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) Montessori teacher and mother. In this must-have insightful book, she shows you how to bring calm in your home and how to use the educational values of a Montessori classroom to create Montessori-friendly spaces in your home and encourage curiosity, responsibility, respect and a love of learning in your child.
Helpful everyday Montessori skills are shared, including tips for independence such as the coat flip and teaching your toddler to pour their own water and clean up spills. This book also shows parents how to be present, be their child’s guide in the Montessori way, and handle tantrums and problematic behavior effectively and calmly without resorting to bribes or threats.
Simone Davies turns the turning the idea of the “terrible twos” on its head in this great book and helps us to truly celebrate every stage of childhood. Beautifully designed, this book is an accessible guide to making your home and family life a calm haven for your child’s intellectual and emotional development.
The Montessori Toddler is beautifully illustrated by Hiyoko Imai and published by Workman Publishing, New York, Unites States.
