Imbucare box with 3 coloured knit balls – Nienhuis Montessori

The Nienhuis Montessori rectangular wooden imbucare box with 3 coloured knit balls is part of the infant and toddler material range. It is inspired by the Friedrich Froebel Gabe 1 and features a box with a red, a yellow and a blue circle printed on the lid. The box houses 3 coloured knit balls on strings, 2 stakes and 1 wooden slat with dowels. A rack is built on the box and the 3 knit balls are hung from the dowels.

Imbucare is a traditional Montessori material used to develop the concept of object permanence and promotes some of the most fundamental skills to the developing brains of young toddlers. 

Practising with the imbucare material provides mental stimulation and exploitative fun. This Montessori material stimulates eye-hand coordination in a focused manner and develops grasp by the infant.

This material is suitable for infants aged 12 months and up.
