Moon Picnic’s, made by Erzi, gorgeous set of 40 beautiful handmade wooden woodland leaves is designed to help children learn through tactile and sensorial play!
The leaves are ideal for little botanists’ hands to hold and feel the warmth and curves of the wood, count them as well as use in imaginative role and loose parts play. These delightful wooden leaves are also perfect for both Montessori and Waldorf early education studies on botany.
Learn to identify the leaves with different shapes and colours, match, make patterns, play games and create a scene for stories. Encourage children to take a walk in woodland and see how many different shaped leaves they can spot. Let them watch the changing colours through the seasons.
The set includes 4 each of 10 different leaves including Beech, Maple, Hawthorn, Gingko, Hazel, Alder, Willow, Sassafras, Common Lime and Oak.
Made in Germany by well-known German toy brand Erzi, the 40 wooden woodland leaves come in a presentation box with each of the leaf names. They are made from E0 grade birch plywood FSC and delicately hand painted with non-toxic, water-based paint. They also make gorgeous decorations, especially for Autumn displays.
The leaves are approximately 5cm in length each and are suitable for children aged 3 years and up.
