Toddler dressing frame: large zipper – Nienhuis Montessori

The Nienhuis Montessori toddler dressing frame with a large zipper from the toddler practical life material range has been specially designed to be used by toddlers.

The dressing frame is made up of a solid wooden frame with rounded edges for safe used even by the littlest hands. Soft fabric is attached to the frame and can be removed and washed. The frame features a large zipper for simple fastening and easy for young children to grasp.

Stimulating eye-hand coordination, the toddler dressing frames prepare the child for dressing independently and develop fine motor skills.

This frame has been specially developed for toddlers, and allows for the zipper to be moved up and down, suited for children of this age in need to practice the zip-up movement first.

Practical life always involves very small steps, so that the child can experience success (“I can do it”) and not be demotivated because something is too complex. During early childhood children learn the full zip movement, including opening the zipper and the fabric entirely, and recomposing the zipper slider and pull. For this, the zipping dressing frame from the 3-6 practical life range is used from the age of 3 or 4 years old.
