The Nienhuis Montessori land form cards set contains 10 thick plastic cards illustrating the different land and water form shapes and are a complementary geography material for the land and water form trays set 1 and set 2. The cards measure 20 x 20 cm and each matches one of Nienhuis Montessori land and water form trays which are a geography material used for the child to learn the names of the worlds different land forms and water forms.

By pouring blue water into each tray a visualisation of where the land and water meet, and how the forms are different becomes apparent – the land form cards provide abstraction in naming the land and water forms as observed on the trays.

The cards illustrate the complementary land and water forms: a system of lakes, an archipelago, a bay, a cape, a lake, an island, a gulf, a peninsula, a strait and an isthmus.
