The educational game measure and compare from Toys for Life helps children learn about sizes and colour in a fun way! With this hands-on, visual game, children develop spatial reasoning and logical thinking skills by measuring and comparing blocks of various lengths and colours.
The objective of the game is to place the wooden blocks on the assignment cards. For the exercises with only outlines the child is free to choose which colours and lengths to use.
The blocks from big to small and from small to big are laid out and children are encouraged to name them using the terms short, long, shorter, longer, shortest, longest.
The game also can be played in a group setting. One child takes an assignment card, the other takes the blocks. Using the assignment card, child 1 explains to the other child how to place the blocks. Afterwards, they discuss together whether the assignment was executed correctly.
Measure and compare is suitable for children aged 3-6 years.
