Colour box of 32 pairs – Nienhuis Montessori

The Nienhuis Montessori colour box with 32 pairs of tablets is part of the sensorial material and introduces children to the world of colour and refines the chromatic sense.

A supplemental box to the first, second and third boxes of Montessori colour tablets, the colour box of 32 pairs contains four matching shades of each the colours: red, blue, yellow, purple, green, brown, pink and grey. Two tablets of the same colour can be matched, building visual discrimination skills while exploring how colours relate to one another.

The painted wooden tablets are rectangular in shape and have wooden ‘handles’ painted in white on the sides, with this contrast making it easier to distinguish colour.

Introduce colour with the tablets in a concrete fashion and without the association of a physical object to avoid confusion, “isolating one difficulty” at a time.
