About Sarah’s Silks
Sarah’s Silks is a family-owned company based in the USA specialising in Waldorf-inspired, natural and sustainable toys to spark children’s imagination. Their mission is to make sustainable, open-ended toys that teach our children to love and care for Mother Earth. The beautiful Sarah’s Silks playsilks, cotton play cloths, capes, fairy dresses and streamers are perfect for open-ended play, dress-up and dramatic play in Waldorf homes, childcare settings and Steiner schools.
All of Sarah’s Silks silk dress up costumes, toys and playsilks are made from high quality sustainable Chinese silk. Each silk product is woven, dyed and hand hemmed by seamstresses working from their home in a small village near Suzhou, China. They are then hand painted and hand finished in Sonoma County, California, USA.
Children love the vibrant, beautifully blended colours and soft, tactile feel of the playsilks, cotton play cloths and capes. They are made with non-toxic, eco-friendly dyes and natural fibres ranging from 100% real silk to 100% cotton and have passed strict American and European safety testing and are safe for use by children of all ages.
