Through sensorial activities with the Nienhuis Montessori puzzle maps, children begin to build their knowledge of the worlds geography – the Asia map shows the Asian continent and covers regions such as Central Asia, South Asia, the Pacific Ocean and countries such as Sri Lanka, China and Japan.
The Nienhuis Montessori Asia puzzle map introduces the geographical structure of Asia and can be used as a puzzle, but also the shapes of each country can be touched, traced on paper and coloured in. Another common exercise is to compare the size of each state and to learn about its geographical location on the continent.
The silk screened puzzle map is entirely made of wood and is laser cut, which ensures accuracy, and a perfect fit of pieces that have to be replaced with those from the spare parts collection. Specially designed knobs on each puzzle piece are positioned on the location of the capitals of each country.
