Jegro
Supporting the transition from informal to formal acting, the Dutch brand Jegro caters to the market with curriculum support materials for primary schools adapted to the educational needs for children aged 6-12 years. The Jegro educational products provide insight in subjects in the scope of mathematics and language, moving the child from cognitively to concrete, pictorial and abstract representations.
Jegro was founded in 1913 and the brand’s mathematics and language materials are to this day still mainly produced in Groningen, the Netherlands, by the Noord Nederlandse Stempel- en Leermiddelenfabriek (NNSL).
Jegro divides learning of mathematics in the four stages of informal acting, representing concrete, representing abstract and formal acting. The Jegro language materials are focused on further development of communication skills as well as expanding vocabulary.
